ABNEY ELEMENTARY
FOOD PANTRY

W.C. Abney Elementary and Vintage 242 have a longstanding partnership to care for Abney students, staff, and administration. Vintage currently stocks and disperses food weekly for the Abney Food Pantry, as well as cares for Abney families in need year-round with a focus on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Vintage hosts quarterly staff appreciation events as well as invests into Abney’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes bible study.

If you would like to help provide food for the pantry,  HERE is a link to an Amazon Wish List.

FOSTER CARE

We recognize that there is a foster care crisis within our country, state, and county. With a desire to cultivate hope, families at Vintage 242 are standing in the gap, serving as foster parents, providing respite care, babysitting, helping with transportation and meals, as well as coaching and mentoring children and birth families. Click on the above image to find out more about how Vintage is meeting the needs of children and families in foster care and how you can get involved!

RECEIVING HOPE CENTER

Youth Sex Trafficking Residential Facility

In 2020, Wellspring Living opened the Receiving Hope Center – the state of Georgia’s first residential intake center for trafficked youth. Because of this facility, survivors of domestic minor sex trafficking will immediately enter into a safe environment and have all their needs met and assessments completed at one location. While at this residential facility, survivors will receive medical care, academic support, therapeutic and stabilization services for up to 90 days before moving to a long-term placement. Vintage are working alongside the leadership at the center to meet various needs they have for their teenagers.

We have committed to refresh and redecorate all participant rooms once they leave and a new participant is expected. We have created two shopping registries for items needed at the center.

Calling All Painters!

Are you interested in helping meet a felt need at the Receiving Hope Center? We are in need of people who would be willing to repaint the bedrooms of participants. No professional experience is necessary! We just need a willing heart and people with the ability to use a paintbrush! We are in the process of putting together a workday sometime in the next two weeks for us to go over as a group and knock out several different rooms. Please let us know if you are willing to be part of the team! Email Randel@Vintage242.com for more information or if you have questions. Click on the image for more information.
