Welcome to the Vintage Village!

We are so glad that you are here! Below you will find some basic information about our children’s ministry. Please do not hesitate to contact us with further questions. Thank you for entrusting your precious children to us!

Our Vision & Mission

We are here to connect kids and families to a lifelong relationship with Christ. Aligning with Vintage 242’s mission – to live upward, inward, and outward – we believe children can grow in relationship with Jesus, contribute to the life of the church, and spread God’s love to the world in which they live.

Children experience the love of God each week with developmentally and age appropriate activities. Each room in the Village is designed to meet the particular needs of the children that meet there. Carefully chosen curriculum is used to teach Biblical truths and principles. We utilize a variety of teaching methods and activities – music, games, crafts, drama, creative storytelling, and technology – in order to reach a wide range of learners. Our goal is to lead our children to take what they have learned inside the church classroom and put it into practice in their daily lives.

What to Expect

We are so excited that you have plans to join us in the Village!

Check in at the Village Registration Desk and receive a security tag for each child.

·      We will ask you to complete a first-time guest form so that we have important emergency and medical information for your child.

·      If you would like to fill out this form in advance, you can click here and print it out and complete it in advance.

• Infants through Kindergarteners will go directly to their small group rooms in the Village.

• 1st—5th grade students will worship with their parents and will be released to the Village staff who will meet them at the back of the sanctuary and take them to the Village.

·      Parents will use their security tag to pick up their children.

Small Groups

Children are assigned to their small groups based on grade level/age.

  • Nursery – birth through 11 months (or walking)

  • 1-2’s

  • 3’s - Kindergarten

  • 1st-3rd grades

  • 4th-5th grades

Security

We are honored that you trust us with your child(ren) and we take this responsibility very seriously. Here are some steps that we have taken to ensure that we have the safest children’s ministry possible:

·      All leaders have participated in county, state, and national background checks and complete an extensive application process. They are also

trained on safety procedures.

·      Leaders are never alone with a child.

·      The Village is locked 10 minutes after service begins. If you would like to check on your child, please knock on the

door or call the phone number on the door.

·      Parents must have a security tag to pick up their child. Children will not be released to anyone without the security

tag. Children may only be picked up by adults.

Baptism

We believe in the power of baptism. It is called a sacrament in the church, which simply means it is an outward sign of a work God has done inside, although it speaks to so much more. It speaks to a life that has turned from sin and has new life in Jesus. It speaks to the cleansing power of God to wash away everything that spiritually cripples us. It speaks to the love of Jesus in His death to make a way for us to know Him for eternity. We also believe that kids get the same Holy Spirit that adults do - there is not jr. Holy Spirit!

If a child wants to be baptized, we celebrate that! We encourage the parents and the child to attend our Ignite class for new believers. For more information, contact Ginger Faller at Ginger@vintage242.com

Biblical Grandparenting

What does the Bible say about your role as a grandparent? Deuteronomy 4:9 says, “Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.”

Our Team

Committed, trained, and loving volunteers, who have cleared background checks, are here each week to teach and care for your child. Please get to know your child’s teacher so that we can partner with you to best meet your child’s specific needs. We desire to work alongside you and your family in instilling God’s love and truth into your child.

Serving in the Vintage Village is a simple, easy & great way for all members of our Vintage family to love and disciple our children! Sign up for the service and age group of your choice through the tab below.
